As a beauty blogger I felt I have already seen it all, and new products don’t easily get me excited. Always up for a beauty hunt, I secretly wanted to fall in love again. Recently, I experienced this blissful feeling for this kbeauty Dr. Jart+ moisturiser. I was first attracted to the modern metallic look of its tube. I then discovered its fresh smell (Verbena? Lemon tea? Or maybe a cold Mohito on a paradise beach?) that captured my senses. But when I applied it on my hand I was fully conquered. This Dr. Jart+ moisturiser comes out of the tube as a dry gel with a faint powdery color, but when you start gently rubbing it, the gel transforms into transparent water droplets! Then, you just need to lightly tap them into you skin, and voila – you just gave your face a refreshing moisturising drink.
Dr. Jart+ Water Drop, delivers on its promises. It is lightweight and refreshing, moisturising and brightening. This moisturiser contains Hyaluronic Acid as its main ingredient, and some antioxidant such as green tea for an extra brightening effect. It literally sinks into your skin within seconds, and makes it soft like a baby’s butt. It is airy and cool, modern, yet so classic! The smell is so fresh and the application so easy that I love applying it in the morning, as it instantly wakes me up and makes me smile.
On its own, this moisturiser won’t probably be hydrating enough for very dry skins. But fortunately, as it doesn’t leave any oily finish you can easily mix and match it with other more creamy moisturisers in your routine. Since I started using it, I feel my skin is less irritated. But this is also because of the Hyaluronic Acid that reacts well with my skin (I love it in sheet masks and in my beloved Hadalabo lotion!). I also like other products from Dr. Jart+ such as their sheet masks, and the Ceramidin Day Tint SPF15 that works perfectly as a primer.
I found it in Sephora in the form of a tester, but when I couldn’t find it in stock to buy, I just panicked. It was like finding out that your crush left for a date with another girl. I instantly took my phone out and ordered it online. And they say you can’t buy love? Fortunately it doesn’t apply to skincare! Only default? My tube seems to have a defect on its closing cap that doesn’t fully close anymore, which makes me hesitate to travel with this product. I wouldn’t want, of course, to spill a single drop of it! I love it way too much to take this risk.
And speaking of love (cause’ love is definitely in the air!) – did I mention I got engaged?
Where to find it? The Jart+ Water Drop is available in Sephora.
